Driving
Directions:
Take the A1 Autostrada del Sole and exit at Fabro. After paying
the toll, make a left and follow the signs to Parrano. You will be going for about
5 Km (3 miles) through a valley and you will see Parrano on your right on a hill.
A winding road of an additional 3 Km (2 miles) will lead you there. If you
are staying in Parrano, in the Casa del Fattore or the Casa della Ripa, you may
park inside the village in the square after you pass through the northern door
arch. If no parking is available, continue to circulate the village (the road
is one way only) and you should be able to park in the square leading out of the
southern door archway. If you are going to Il Poggio della Capretta or
Il Casinetto, do not go through the old part of Parrano. After the winding road,
make a left and you will be going up a slight hill (the bar and food store will
be on your right). After 1.5 Km (1 mile) or so, at the sign "La Capretta,"
make a right onto an unpaved road for about 300 meters (0.2 miles), which will
lead you to the Capretta on your left. Il Casinetto is next, adjacent to the Capretta.
If you are going to La Villa, do not go through the old part of Parrano.
After the winding road, make a left and you will be going up a slight hill (the
bar and food store will be on your right) for about 2 Km (1.5 miles). At the first
paved intersection make a left and stay on for about 500 meters (0.3 Miles). Make
another left onto an unpaved road and follow it for 1 Km (0.7 Miles). If
you arrive by train, you can take a taxi from Fabro, or the Agriturismo can pick
you up, if you arrange to do so prior to arrival.
